How to clean a GRACO Airless pump

Step 1: Clean the inside of the pump

Cut off the power supply to the pump for safety reasons.

Unload the pump by turning the discharge valve downwards.

Tilt the pump and collect as much gel as possible from the strainer using a brush.

Take a bucket of dirty water and a bucket of gel.

Then slowly increase the pressure to recover the gel inside the pump.

Step 2: Clean the hose and gun

Tip: keep your finger on the gun trigger and slowly build up pressure so that there is no pressure in the hose.

Step 3: Rinse the pump, hose and gun

Using two buckets (one of clear water and one of dirty water), rinse the pump, hose and gun completely.

Step 4: Clean the pump filter

Turn off the pump for safety.

Remove the filter from the side of the pump.

Clean the filter with a brush. Clean the inside with a paper towel.

Clean thoroughly and apply TSL oil to the threads.

Step 5: Clean the gun filter

Clean the gun filter, and change it if it's too worn.

Step 6: Clean the pump accessories

Make sure you clean the seal, the nozzle holder and the spraying equipment.

Be careful not to lose the seal when cleaning.

Step 7: Protect the pump

Protect the pump using Pump ARMOR, which will protect it from the frost and keep it lubricated at all times.
