Protect'Inox physical anti-termite barrier, impenetrable and without biocides. Flexible stainless steel wire mesh, square weave.

  • Roll : 50cm
  • Width : 20cm

1- PREPARATION AND START OF THE PERIMETER

The applicator prepares the support by carefully sanding the perimeter where the Protect'Inox strip will be installed. The installation of the barrier begins with a fold of 3cm, with 2 points to allow a sufficient tension.

2- STRAIGHT UNROLLING AND ANGLES

Depending on the surface condition of the support and the width of the barrier, the roll is unrolled on a few meters. It is firmly stretched and pointed to be maintained. No waviness is allowed. The operation is repeated until the first corner of the masonry is reached. To easily put the corner in place, a point is fixed 50 cm before to keep the tension of the previous length. The corner is created by a simple fold (or overlapping technique). This one is crushed with a hand roller and maintained by pointing. The roll is then unrolled over several meters, two points minimum are necessary to tighten it again.

3- REPEAT AND CLOSE THE PERIMETER

At the end of the roll, the applicator makes a fold of 3 cm, on which he overlaps the mesh of the next roll. Once adjusted, the next roll is fixed with a first point. The applicator makes a first fold, then a second to completely cover the overlap. This overlap area is tightened with a third fold. The hand roller is particularly useful for tacking each fold. This manipulation is also used to close the perimeter of the barrier. Once the perimeter is completed, the mesh must be readjusted flush with the masonry, pressed against the masonry and the slab, then pointed.

4- PASSAGE OF SHEATHS, REINFORCEMENT AND GLUING

The installation of Protect'Inox at the level of the sheaths is carried out with the help of collars adjusted to the diameter, either cast in the concrete slab, or pointed and glued on the surface. For the passage of the reinforcement, the mesh is cut (cut folded on the bottom to facilitate the brushing of the adhesive). The physical barrier is permanently fixed and protected with a layer of glue that is brushed on. The applicator makes sure to apply the right amount of glue to completely cover the mesh.
